Nicolo S. Baratta is an experienced rising trial attorney at Lahoud Law Group, P.C., specializing in Criminal Law. Nico is a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley, born and raised in Bethlehem, PA. He is a well-respected former prosecutor who began his advocacy with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

In 2012, Nico received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Saint Michael’s College located in Colchester, Vermont near Lake Champlain.

He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from The Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2017, with a concentration in Criminal Law. During his law school career, Nico volunteered his time at the Senior Law Center catering to elderly indigent clients and participated in various legal internships, including a coveted program in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office for prospective criminal advocates. After his experience with the Philly D.A., Nico then focused on criminal defense and completed a year-long clinical internship with the Philadelphia Defender’s Association learning the intricacies of criminal defense and eventually representing indigent defendants on lower-level misdemeanor charges. It was during his experience with the Defender’s Association where Nico secured his first acquittal in the criminal justice system.

After passing the bar exam, Nico immediately began working for the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office in 2017 as an Assistant District Attorney. Over the course of seven years, Nico established himself as a hard-worker and zealous advocate fighting for the rights of victims and the Commonwealth. During his tenure with the D.A., Nico gained extensive litigation experience in both the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems. Nico has experience handling criminal matters from preliminary hearings to jury trials, including cases of homicide; attempted homicide; robbery; possession with intent to deliver; firearms offenses; and others. As a long-time member of the Office’s Drug Unit, Nico gained invaluable experience litigating matters involving search and seizure (a routinely significant area of law in many criminal matters). Nico ended his service there in July of 2025 after rising to the rank of Senior Deputy District Attorney.

Now, it is his mission to utilize his litigation skills to help those going through the worst of times, whether it be those who have been injured and in need of aggressive representation to recover compensation for their injuries, or for individuals seeking to navigate the criminal justice system.
