ICE Raids Philadelphia in Operation Safe City. Over 100 Arrested.

Federal immigration officials conducted sweeping raids in 10 cities across the United States last week in what Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) dubbed “Operation Safe City.”  The enforcement actions targeted cities and states that have adopted “immigrant sanctuary” policies, such as refusing to honor ICE detainers or failing to report certain immigration-related information and immigration law violators to federal authorities.

ICE reported that the operation netted over 450 immigrant arrests across the 10 cities, with Philadelphia at the top of the 10-targeted cities list with 107 arrests.
